Hello Families,
I’m Karla Aguilar. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I am a Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula/Nanny with over 8 years of experience supporting newborns, infants, and growing families in the comfort of their homes.
My passion for newborn care began when I became a mother and experienced the newborn stage firsthand the sleepless nights, endless questions, and the importance of having a village of support. That experience inspired me to learn about child development and provide families with the guidance I once wished I had.
I studied Child Development and Early Childhood Education at Cerritos College, earning my certificate. I began my career as a Montessori and Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool teacher. Through childcare centers and in-home care, I gained hands on experience with children of all ages while building a strong understanding of developmental milestones and early childhood care.
Throughout my career, I saw the need for more support during the newborn and postpartum stage. This inspired me to specialize in newborn care and dedicate myself to continued education so I can provide families with knowledgeable, nurturing, and personalized support.
In 2026, I became a gestational surrogate, supporting a family in another meaningful way connected to my passion for children and family building. This experience has deepened my appreciation for the journey of parenthood and strengthened my perspective as a mother, Teacher, Newborn Care Specialist, and Postpartum Doula.
My goal today is to continue helping more families feel confident, supported, and never alone during this beautiful transition into parenthood. I believe investing in the support of a Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula allows parents to feel rested, educated, and more prepared to provide their little one with the loving, attentive care they deserve.
